What changes in v4.0
v4.0 adds EGRSCNT (Result Count, Num, Permissible) to ECG Test Results, defined as "the number of occurrences of a result" and recorded as an integer. Appendix E confirms it under Section 6.3.3, which also records that the permissible variable ANMETH was moved into the EG specification table. The name is EGRSCNT — sources rendering it as --RESCNT were wrong. This dataset does not declare it.
What to do about it
Optional. Relevant only where the ECG vendor supplied a beat or replicate count that is currently being discarded or carried in a supplemental qualifier.
What the scan can and cannot see
EG is declared and EGRSCNT is not. Whether the ECG vendor supplied a replicate count at all is record-level and is not claimed.
Sources
Every claim above rests on one of these. Where a line is from the public-review draft it says so, because a draft can still move.
